The Truth Behind “Brain-Based” Learning

There are numerous myths about the brain, and many of them relate to education and how the brain learns. In this presentation Janet Zadina, an assistant professor of neurology at Tulane University, will uncover the truth behind some of the most commonly held brain-based learning myths.

Students learn differently as they age, and as they mature both socially and emotionally. Brain-based learning is centered around the idea that teaching methods and school programs should take a student’s cognitive development into consideration.
